Company visit: Boreal Bioproducts Oy
Join the UTU Career Services company visit to Borel Bioproducts Oy on Wednesday 18 November at 13:00-15:00. Before the visit there is a mandatory preparation session in Zoom on Tuesday 10 November, 12:00-12:30.

Boreal Bioproducts Oy is a company specialicing in turning under-utilised forestry side streams into novel, high-value bio-based materials, such as coatings, adhesives, paints and packaging, enabling industries to transition to a circular economy. The company was founded in 2018, with a foundation in academic research in hot water extraction technologies and biomass fractionation. Since 2021, they have operated at pilot scale in Turku, and they are now laying the groundwork for industrial-scale production, with operations targeted for 2028–2029.
The visits are in English and open to both international and domestic students (Finnish/Swedish speaking). Max. 15 participants/visit. The Career Services will separately confirm your participation as soon as possible after registration. We will prioritise students who have not participated in company visits before and who are studying field related to the visit. We will also make sure that all visiting student groups consist of both international and domestic students.
The Company Visits are part of the university’s UNICOM+ -project, co-funded by the European Union and aiming at increasing the employability of international university talents in the region.
