Finnish Neuromorphic Systems 2026: Emerging Materials and Technologies for Brain-Inspired Computing
University Hill, Turku
Yliopistonmäki
Finnish Neuromorphic Systems (FINNESS) 2026 is a two-day interdisciplinary workshop connecting Finnish and European expertise in neuromorphic materials, emerging devices, brain-inspired computing technologies, and innovation pathways. The workshop brings together researchers, companies, innovation actors, and funding ecosystem representatives working across materials chemistry, physics, electronics, device engineering, AI hardware, sensing, emerging computing systems, and related application domains.
Registration is required for all participants. Participants may register for Day 1, Day 2, or both days depending on their interests and availability. Places are subject to room capacity, and participation will be confirmed by the organisers.
10 June 2026 - Industry collaboration and translation
Day 1 focuses on innovation pathways, company needs, funding instruments, research-to-business opportunities, and academic-industry collaboration themes.
Venue: Quantum, Lecture Hall XVII, Vesilinnantie 5, University Hill
Indicative time: 09:30-16:30
11 June 2026 - Academic research workshop
Day 2 focuses on emerging materials, devices, mechanisms, architectures, and future research directions in neuromorphic systems.
Venue: Aurum, Argentum Auditorium, Henrikinkatu 2
Indicative time: 09:30-17:30
For companies
Companies interested in contributing to Day 1 may indicate whether they wish to propose a short company problem pitch. Pitches should describe a technical, application, validation, scaling, or collaboration challenge relevant to neuromorphic systems, edge AI, microelectronics, sensing, emerging materials, or advanced hardware development.
Pitch slots are limited to approximately 3-4 companies and will be selected by the organisers based on relevance, fit with the programme, and available time.
Companies may also indicate whether they wish to bring a company roll-up display for Day 1. Roll-ups are intended to support informal networking and visibility during the industry collaboration day and are subject to available space and practical arrangements.
Practical information
Coffee breaks will be provided for registered participants according to the programme.
Participants are invited to indicate dietary restrictions, allergies, accessibility needs, or other practical requirements in the registration form.
